Show Devils To Test Cedar City, Parowan This Week-end With the holidays coming- up and extra entertaining- to be done you'll be glad to know how to remove re-move those inevitable and oh-so-. stubborn lipstick-stains from linen napkins. Rub petroleum jelly into Wte stain before washing- and the spot will come without scrubbing. Springville cagers will travel to Cedar City and Parowan this Friday Fri-day and Saturday in their first games away from the home court. Last Friday night the Devils dropped their home contest to the hustling South Summit five 34-31. Coach Garrett's Devils took an early lead but were behind 10-11 at the halftime in a slow scoring game. Both clubs showed better offense in the second half and had the Springville quint captalized on free throws, could have won the contest as they outscored the visitors visi-tors on field goals. Playing outstanding ball for the Red Devils, were Pete Carter and Brent Haymond. Carter did a fine job defensively while Haymond came through in the scoring department. de-partment. Duke Reid, looking somewhat down for this game, came through near the end of the game with some beautiful long shots. Although the Devils dropped the game to the Summit five, the prospects pros-pects for league wins looks brighter bright-er with each preseason tilt and hopes for a successful season are on the improve. |
