Show SHS News Notes . . By Marilyn Roylance and May Ann Childs Yes, the Christmas spirit is really at the high school with the halls all bedecked with holly and the class-rooms taking on a festive air to say nothing of the big Christmas treo in the lower hall. The assembly Friday proved to us what a fine band we have and Thursday evening, the orchestra will prove what they can do when the A'Cappella choir gives a concert. con-cert. Four members of the Council went to Provo to a regional council coun-cil meeting last Tuesday, the purpose pur-pose of the meeting being to dis- cuss how petty thievery and vandalism van-dalism among students of high school age could be decreased. Orchids is what the cast of the high school play, "The Land of the Dragon's Desire," deserves. So well did they do their parts that everyone was living in oriental China and actually believing in the flying dragon. The production staff and Mr. Clyde deserve high praise. The members of thet junior ciass are selling tickets on some candy and a clock radio. The profits from the sale will go toward the Junior Prom. The SHS Athletic club received their new sweaters yesterday. They are blue with white trim. Some members are getting jackets instead of sweaters and these haven't arrived yet. The Senior class had a party last Friday after the ball game with South Summit. The high school dance band furnished music 1 and in connection with the dance, j refreshments were served. |
