Harold Wolf and Sallie Peck Smith of Salt Lake City Will Be Guest Artists i In addition to hearing two noted artist musicians from Salt Lake City, townspeople will be given an opportunity to hear what Spring-ville Spring-ville musicians can do, when the Civic Orchestra presents a concert Saturday evening. The concert will be given free of charge to the public in the high school auditorium, beginning at 8:15 p.m., directed by Jacob Bos. Harold Wolf, concert master of the Utah Symphony orchestra, a noted violiiist, and Sallie Peck Smith, on the viola, will be guest artists performing with the orchestra or-chestra group. The Springville Civic Orchestra was organized some time ago for townspeople who desire to continue contin-ue their, musical training after completing school. It is part of the city recreation program and comprises com-prises a large group of talented people. Tne program which they will present Saturday evening includes: 1. Seventh Symphony by Beetha-ven, Beetha-ven, second movement; 2. Symphonic Sym-phonic Concertante, by Mozart for violin and viola with solos by the two guest artists followed by intermission. in-termission. The concluding number will be Christmas Fantasy, by Spokin and Christmas Festival by Anderson. |
