Show Mapleton Couple Greet Guests At Pretty Church Reception Thursday The flower-decked and candle-lit Mapleton Ward church was the scene of a well planned wedding reception re-ception Thursday evening- for Gerrv Wiscombp and fine program which was as follows: fol-lows: opening prayer Patriarch Oscar Whiting, Bishop Welby Warren acted as toastmaster, dance by Terry and Micheal Shepherd; Shep-herd; song, Preston Hooper; two vocal numbers, Judy Wiscombe; reading, Colleen Beardall; reading, Iris Dibble; toast to the bride, Jo-lene Jo-lene Tingey; duet, Neva Joy Lee and Carl Blad; closing prayer, Ralph Astle of Draper. In charge of the guest book was Mrs. Catherine Ann Jensen. Helping Help-ing with the serving were Wilma Cloward, DaNore Bills, Ruth Hooper, Hoop-er, Esther Hurst, and they were assisted by Shirlene Riding, Mar-gene Mar-gene Hurst, Donna Lee, Jerry Thorpe and Arva Despain. Helping in the gift room were Pearl Holley, Fern Crandall, An-dith An-dith Jensen and Carma Anderson. The newly-weds plan to make their home in Mapleton. Sem D. Astle who were married -that day in the Salt Lake Temple. Gerry is the attractive daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Joseph W. Wiscombe and Sem is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Alma P. Astle of Mapleton. The bride was beautifully gowned gown-ed in white satin overlaid with lace fashionesd with fitted . waist-line bodice and floor length full skirt. She wore a crown of lace and seed pearls from which fell a finger-tip length veil, of bridal illusion trimmed trim-med with lace. She carried a bouquet bou-quet of pink rose buds. Attending the bride were Mar-gene Mar-gene Wiscombe, sister of the bride, I and Pat Bills, Helen Johnson, Margene Rawle and Lynn May, who were attractive in floor length formals in pastel shades. They wore pink rose bud corsages. Receiving guests with the bride and groom were Mr. and Mrs. Joseph W. Wiscombe and Mr. arid Mrs. Alma P. Astle. Mrs. Wiscombe Wis-combe chose a -gray afternoon dress of corde and Mrs. Astle wore black crepe. They wore pink rosebud rose-bud corsages. , Reynold Astle, nephew of the groom, performed the duties of best man. Guests were entertained with a |
