The Conference committee resumed re-sumed its business at 10:30, and expect to have something further to report to the respective re-spective caucuses by evening. The fight in the committee now will be one of the main issues, which is the rules which shall prevail pre-vail in contest cases, and whether in the dis-I dis-I posing of the report to be made by the in-! in-! yestigating committe, three of the Hamilton Hamil-ton county members shall have the privilege of voting on the fourth. The differences are so great between the sides on this point that it may result in killing all the compromise compro-mise measures which have been: proposed. j The conference committee at the noon recess re-cess had been unable to agree upon anything any-thing further, with indications that they were getting further apart on the main issue. |
