Show : Dr. Moore, of Wyoming, offered A RESOLUTION FOB FREE COINAGE. Setting forth that the range cattle- industry indus-try believed that the existing depression in business is largely attributed to the contraction of the. currency, consequent upon the demonetization of silver by the. German Empire and the hostile attitude of our'Government towards bi-metalism. Colonel Holt moved that hereafter delegates dele-gates to the International Range Convention Conven-tion be appointed on the basis of ONE DELEGATE TO EVERY 10,000 HEAD Of stock, instead of 50,000, as the call of the present Convention. The motion, as amended by Archibald of Colorado, makes the basis of representation one delegate to every thirty members of the local associations. There was considerable consider-able discussion upon the subject by ex-Senator ex-Senator Dorsey, Judge O'Brien, of New Mexico, Colonel Holt, and Bishop Faust, of Utah. The amendment was lost, but the motion was carried. Adjourned till to-morrow. The freedom of the city has been tendered ten-dered to the visiting stockmen and invitations invi-tations extended to them to visit the large manufactories, smelters, -.car shops and liquifaction works. To-morrow night a grand ball and banquet will be tendered . them at the Mammoth rink. |
