Show Linda Green Bridges School Costs Linda Green, a Parowan High School graduate, will attend Southern Utah State College during 1976-77 on a scholarship she won in a model bridge building contest sponsored earlier by SUSC. Constructing a model bridge capable of withstanding 1,184 pounds of .- pressure, Linda became the first female to take top honors in the annual competition. com-petition. . , "Linda "constructed the winning win-ning structure from one of 300 bridge building kits, each weighing less than one and one-fourth one-fourth ounces, which were distributed among 15 Utah High Schools," Richard N. Kimball, associate Professor of Engineering, said. The $300 award covers full-tuition full-tuition costs at SUSC. She is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Green, Summit. "Linda is an outstanding science student and has received several ' additional honors," Kimball said. "We will be very pleased to have her with us." |
