Show New Harmony News By Marva D. Prince Word was received last Saturday the 21st of Aug. of the new arrival of a baby girl to first time parents, Dean and Jan S. Kelsey. The proud grandparents are Verl and Viola Kelsey and Mr. and Mrs. Clair Stocks of Cedar City.. Deon and Jan are from Logan where Deon is attending college. This is also the first grandchild of the Kelseys. Congratulations. Overnight visitors from Semi Valley, Calif, at Mr. and Mrs. Ly4e Prince's Friday were their daughter Dorothy (Mrs. Hal Torgersen) and daughters Kay, Laura and Teri and a friend of Teri's, Jim Gibson of Oxnard, Calif. Laura stayed with her grandparents while the rest traveled to Provo where Kay and Jim will attend the BYU. Mrs. Torgersen and daughter Teri returned Wed. and are staying a few days with the Prince's before returning home. A primary graduation dinner was held recently for the two girls of our ward, Beth Morris, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Lowell Prince, and Kay Love, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Boyd Pace, also Maria Grant, daughter of Dr. ,and Mrs. Korry Grant of Rolla, Missouri; also Stacey Golmer, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Jim 'Golmer of Cerritos, Calif, who have been spending the summer here and graduated in their home ward. This was held at the homne of their teacher, Mrs. Berdean Schlosser, with the parents and primary officers in attendance. We are very proud of these girls because this is the first girls to graduate from this ward in eleven years, the last two were Sister Velda Grant, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Sheldon Grant and who is now on a mission in Term., and Mrs. Deanna (Robert Groke) daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Vivian Prince, who with her husband lives in Oklahoma. Mr. and Mrs. Philden DeMille of Henderson , Nev. is here spending the weekend to do some more work on their home. Mrs. Vilo Pearce and Marva Prince attended a baby shower in Kanarra Wed. night for Mrs. Brenda D. Rollo and Baby Tennile of .Cedar City. Mrs. Glade Berry and daughter Aloma were hostesses for the shower for Mrs. Berry's granddaughter. grand-daughter. Sunday Aug. the 22, Mr. and Mrs. Robert Goodwin and their grandfather Ashby Pace rode horses and spent the day on top of the Pine Valley Mountain. This was the first time that Uncle Ashley (Daddy Pace) called by his many friends of the ward, has been on a horse for some time, and to ride that far a man of 82 , and has had his back broken twice, Daddy Pace ran cattle with Darce and Vivian Prince on Pine Valley for many years and just wanted to spend a day and bring back memories. Congratulations to a fine man. Mrs. Vivian Prince attended a shower for Rosalie Hawkins Thurs. evening in Kanarra. Rosalie and Michael D. Williams, son of Mr. and Mrs. Chester Williams and Rosalie, daughter of Mrs. LuElla Hawkins will be married Sept. 11. Michael is the nephew of Mrs. Prince. This was given by a sister-in-law (to be) of Rosalie's, Mrs. Debra Blake of Santa Clara and Shellie D. Currey of Cedar City. Mr. and Mrs. J. V. Davis and family of Cedar City visited with their parents Mr. and Mrs. . Thomas Pearce, Friday evening! Mr. and Mrs. Eldon Schmutz Mr. and Mrs. Lyle Prince, Mr. and Mrs. Lowell Prince, Mr. and Mrs. Vivian Prince and Fred Melville attended the Cattlemen's Cat-tlemen's Party at the college ranch Wed. of last week. Mr. and Mrs. Ben Batty and son visited with their mother Mrs. Leah Batty Friday. The Batty's are from Cedar City. Mr. and Mrs. Fred Englestead and family were recent visitors at the home of their grandmother, grand-mother, LaVerna Englestead and to visit with their Aunt June Golmer and family, and Mrs Gary Davis and daughter Jennifer, Jen-nifer, before they returned to their home in Calif.
