Show Sewer effluent water for CHS lawns Effective in the spring of 1977, Dr. Clair Morris, Iron County School District Superintendent, said, the Iron County School District will close the six-inch culinary water valve which presently sprinkles grass on the east campus at Cedar High and will then open a larger valve connected to the sewer effluent line. "This action," Morris said, "will assist Cedar City in the conservation of badly needed culinary water and will save tax dollars for the schools because the sewer effluent is much cheaper." In addition to the Cedar High east campus, the football field and grassed areas around the buildings will be converted to sewer effluent sprinkling, Morris said. Eventually, he added, all school grounds in the city will be sprinkled with sewer effluent water. |
