Mrs. Anna Bentley entertained the O. D. O. club at her home last Friday afternoon. Miss Evelyn Smith returned to Provo Tuesday after spending the week here with relatives. M!rs. Mary E. Lee left Tuesday rooming for Hinckley on receiving receiv-ing word of the illness of her daughter, Mis. Rose Neilson. Mr. and Mrs. P. B. Morris were week end visitors here from Wolf Hole. Mr. and Mrs. Raymond Douglas left last Saturday for Phoenix after af-ter spending the past three months here. Mr. and Mrs. Bert Riding and children of Veyo were visiting at the home of Mrs. Riding's mother, moth-er, Mrs. Laura Gates, last Friday and Saturday. Mr. and Mrs. Jos. Milne, Mr. and Mrs. Ross Barton, Mr. and Mrs. Louis R. Lund and Mr. and Mrs. Morton Morris returned Saturday Satur-day from Salt Lake where they spent a few days on business. Mr. and Mrs. Clifford Heaton came in from Moccasin Saturday evening and brought Israel Esplin to the bedside of his son who has been very ill at the county hospital. Mr. and Mrs. Heaton returned re-turned home Sunday. Ephraim Melburg of Logan and members of his family were visiting vis-iting relatives in St. George last Thursday night while en route to Los Angeles. There were seven in the party. W. B. Pratt and L. R. Cropper of Hinckley are spending the week in Washington county and in Clark county, Nevada, gathering alfalfa seed to ship to northern points. Dr. F. J. Alexander who has been making regular professional visits to your town to care for the eyes, will be at St. George, Arrowhead hotel, Thursday, December De-cember 19, from 12 noon to 8 p. m. Advlt. Mr. and Mrs. Van Prisbrey and son returned last Thursday from Los Angeles where they spent two months. They were accompanied by Miss Irma Prisbrey who spent the past six months there and in Ogden. Dr. and Mrs. L. H. Crushaw of Pocatello spent Saturday night at the Arrowhead hotel while en route to the coast. Mrs. Crushaw will be remembered by St. George people as Mrs. Gideon Andrus. She intends to spend a few days while en route home, with friends here. George Burgi returned last Friday Fri-day from Denver where he received re-ceived treatment in the Fitzsim-mons Fitzsim-mons general hospital. He shows little improvement. |
