Show FORMER DIXIEITE DIES IN CANADA 1 r r Jacob U. Carter, former resident of St. George, but who for the past thirteen years, has been liv-" ing at Cardston, Alberta, Canada, died December 2 of pleursy bordering bor-dering on pneumonia. He had also suffered a great deal from rheumatism rheu-matism and had been practically helpless for the past 22 years. Mr. Carter was born June 22, 1865, at St. George and resided here until 1916 when he moved to Canada. In 1889 he was married to Mary Eliza Blair. Six children were born to them, only one, Allan Al-lan Carter of Lund, Nevada, survives. sur-vives. He is survived by two brothers, bro-thers, Samuel U. Carter of St. George, James U. of California, and two sisters, Mrs. Elizabeth Harker and Mrs. Harriet Thomas, both of Cardston, Alberta, Canada. Can-ada. I , |
