Show WM. GREY, LOCAL BARBER.DIEDTUESDAY Death Came Suddenly After Illness Ill-ness of Only Short Duration. Wm. Newell Grey passed away at his home at 11 o'clock Tuesday night suffering with pains around his heart. He had been confined to his bed withi a severe cold since last Thursday but on Tuesday Tues-day was able to be up and around the house. He was stricken with the fatal illness at 10:30 that night. He was born in Glasgow, Scotland, Scot-land, May 2, 1868, and at t-hs age of seven, in company with his brothers and sisters and his father, fa-ther, John Grey, came to America. Amer-ica. They made their home in Utah and on December 27, 1892 he was married to Helen Frances Judd in the St. George temple. He has engaged in the barber trade here the past 30 years and during that time won the friendship friend-ship of all with whom, he became associated. He is survived by his widow and three children, Lamar and Paul of Los Angeles and Mrs. Olive Ol-ive Wilkin of St. George, nine grandchildren and a step-mother, Mrs. Jessie Grey of Ogden, and the following brothers and sisters, sis-ters, Mathew Grey of Los Angeles Ange-les and Mrs. Elizabeth Pymra of Salt Lake, two half-brothers, Lo-rin Lo-rin of McGill and James of Ely, and one half-sister Mrs. Isabel Clark of McGill. |
