Professor West, of the uuiversitv caine to Suit Lake last week ami carefully care-fully looked over the merits of the various va-rious trucks ou the local market, investigating inves-tigating cost of upkeep and operation. Sales Manager 'foul Davis of the Randall-Dodd company took Professor West, out to Port. Douglas and showed him tho GMC operating so successful' at that post. When Professor West found how extensively the government was using the GMU, both for ambulance work and hauling iu Prance and in the United States, he immediately placed an order with the Katulall-Dodd company com-pany and the truck was delivered last week. The truck will handle the two trailers shown jn the photograph above. Although neither G-MC trucks nor Buick and National passenger cars will be exhibited at the state fair this year, the Kaudall-Dodd company expects to be very busy this week ' showing its various models of GMC trucks to out-of-town stockmen, farmers, merchants and others who are interested in motor truck transportation. Sales Manager Tom Davis of the Kan-dall-Dodd company is making special arrangements to "display the various models of GMC trucks on the company sales floor this week for tho benefit of out-of-town farmers, stockmen and merchants who may want to investigate the economical operation of these trucks. The GMC comes in a largo variety of sizes that are particularly adapted for use in a rural community, according accord-ing to Mr. Davis. One of the most powerful arguments advanced in favor of the CMC truck is the fact that this truck is manufactured manu-factured and guaranteed by the oldest and strongest truck manufacturer in the world, the General Motors Truck company. This is one of the units of the great General Motors company, and the factories of the great corporation are well established, thoroughly organized organ-ized and splendidly equipped, and their resources are unequaled. The Randall-Dodd Randall-Dodd officials point to the fact that this means no GMC truck will ever be an orphan. |
