Show HERO WINDOW OF DRUG CONCERN AIDS LOAN CAMPAIGN powerful appeal to Americans, who are unable to fight, to do their "bit" by buying Liberty tonds is found In the "Hero Window'," which has been Installed In Schramm-Johnson's drug store at Second Sec-ond South and Main streets as an aid to the fourth Liberty loan campaign. In the window, which Is beautifully decorated dec-orated with American flags and service flags wlUi gold stars, are the photographs photo-graphs of twenty-seven Salt Lake men who have laid down their lives for the cause of freedom and liberty. In the center of the window, surrounded by twenty-seven gold stars. Is a poem bv Lidua M. D. O'Xell, entitled "Gone West," which describes most aptly the spirit of a dving American soldier. A sign at the base of the display bears the legend, "They Gave Their Lives. Now, You Buy a Bond." Each picture of the departed heroes Is labeled with his name, rank and the organization or-ganization to which lie belonged at the time of his fleatn. The window has been the oenter of attraction since it was Installed. |
