Show GET YGUR USED Clfl fiow. mmm Hyland Motor Company Advocates Speed on the Part of Buyers. That rigrlit now ig the best time to buy a used car, because of the limited production pro-duction of new autos, is the opinion of Manager Wtllard Richards of the Hyland Motor company, distributors of Hupmo-biles, Hupmo-biles, Stutz cars and Garfoid trucks. "At tho rate used automobiles of all I kinds, shapes and sizes are being resurrected resur-rected and rehabilitated in other cities, J Salt lake will soon feel a shortage of first-clasa used cars," says Mr. Rich-i Rich-i ards. 1 "Due to the limited supply of new cars, old cars of every description will be put into service. 1 strongly advise all who are contemplating the purchase of a car within the next two years to make the purchase now, while new cars and first class used cars may be obtained." Mr. Richards also strongly advocates the proper care of automobiles. He says that ha would not be surprised if the government did not require better care than most people give their cars. It is the general consensus that cars, trucks, tractors and all other motor devices de-vices must be kept in better repair in 111 than has been the practice in previous pre-vious years. This will necessitate dealers throughout the United States maintaining maintain-ing an efficient corps of skilled mechanics in order that preferential work may not be interferred with and despite the great demand for mechanics made by the state of conditions that exist. The latest and most authentic reports on the situation at Washington, according to Mr. Richards. Indicate the government 's not seeking to destroy the automobile industry. While the war industries board has not issued any specific announcement on just what it will do, there is now reason to believe there will not be any too per cent restriction, on car production, produc-tion, as originally reported to be the intention, but that for lSJl? the production produc-tion will be from 25 to 35 per cent of 1917 production. In round figures this would mean perhaps per-haps 500,000 cars for 1919. Licensed production pro-duction will naturally mean more careful care-ful operation and maintenance of all cars. Mr. Richards states that his companv has a splendid line of first class used cars, in addition to a good stock of new ones. The Hyland Motor company has specialized on taking in only moderate priced, medium and smaal sized used cars, so that the present stock of used automobiles on hand is just what the average salaried man, business man, or farmer is looking for. During the present week, with the state fair and conference as main attractions, at-tractions, thousands of farmers, ranchers and people from all over the country will be In the city. Many of them are looking for first class used automobiles. Manager Man-ager Richards states that every car offered of-fered for sale by his company is in good condition and has been thoroughly overhauled over-hauled by the? company's expert mechanics. mechan-ics. This fine stock of new and used cars are on display at the company's show rooms, 57 South State street, just across the street from the Salt Lake theater in the new Social Hall avenue group of buildings. |
