Show Utahn Celebrates Her 90th Birthday Mrs. Jane E. Molen, Utah pioneer of 1848, celebrated her ninetieth birthday birth-day at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Ernest Peterson of Hyrum, Sunday. Mrs. Molen was born in Nsuvoo, 111., in 1843, the daughter of William and Elizabeth Hyde. Among her earliest recollections are those of crossing the plains, part of which trip was made on foot Mrs. Molen was one of Utah's ear-list ear-list school teachers In Cache valley, where her father was a colonizer. In 1878 she went on a mission to the Hawaiian islands in company with her husband and daughter, with whom she now makea her home, She is still enjoying good physical -And mental health and says she is sure she will beat the record of her mother, who lived beyond the age of 101 years. |
