Show Utah Inter-Collegiate Inter Assembly If you are concerned about where the money goes you have two choices 1 get involved 2 continue to sit on your fat duff and shoot off your mouth But then who really cares about apathy anyway At last the students of Utah have an input into the political workings of the STATE OF UTAH This was attained through the participation of colleges and universities universities universities uni uni- throughout the state in the Utah Inter-Collegiate Inter Assembly This assembly was held at the State Capitol Building on November There were representatives and Senators from colleges and universities from throughout Utah SL was represented by a total of 8 people six in the House of Representatives and two in the Senate They were Ken Drachman Craig Merrell lerrell Kim Lawrence Mary lary Baker David Guinn Ogden Stewart Sue Wilson Vilson and Brad West Each college was asked to write up bills they feel would benefit the college students in Utah as well as the public in general These bills expressed the point of view of the students in Utah to our State Legislators SL had two bills concerning our government authored by KD and one on the transference of college credits authored authored authored au au- au- au by Craig Merrell and Kim Lawrence The assembly had various respected speakers one of which was Governor Rampton It was a great learning experience for all involved involved involved in in- not only in the workings of the government but in tary Procedures If there is any doubt that we accomplished anything Alan Moll 1011 stated on television that we got more done in one day than the State Legislature does in in 60 days I Ht I Left to Right Front Mary Baker Sue Wilson David Guinn Back Kim Lawrence Ken Drachman Craig Merrell |
