Show Society J S DOING THE TOWN By Elaine Cannon Crisp, cool nights . . . mildly warm days . . . fruit signs on the highway ... a stream of cars wending Country Club way and the Southeasterners are deep in the fun that is August. How popular can visitors be? The Howard Andersons and daughter, Marsha, have teen entertained royally during their trip "home." They are living in Washington, D.C., now you know. Mrs. A. is the former Norma Sheffield and they've been dividing their time between be-tween her mother in Bountiful and his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Parley P. Anderson of Salt Lake. AuJd Lang Syne was appropriate ap-propriate theme when a group of old school chums got together for luncheon at the Country Club. Occasion Occa-sion for the celebrating was to welcome Mrs. Boyd Bird and Marguerite Keller who arc from California. Mr. M a I c o m Pingree, Phyl Evans Pcery and Mrs. Lesley King couldn't make it to the noon hour social but Mrs. Jerry Jones was there looking very smart. Also in on the reminiscing were Mrs. Marcus Jensen, Mrs. Wayne G. Brown, Mrs. Irfiuifi R. Curtis, Mrs. Ralph H. Sheffield, Mrs. Reed S. Clegg, Mrs. Homer Sylvester, Sylves-ter, and Mrs. Roral Eardley. Thought we'd mention that Virginia Wells Bowman (Mrs. Clifford Bowman) has been making Salt Lakers happy by being an August visitor, too. She's living in Minneapolis, Minn., now. What fun! Rulon (Bunny) (Bun-ny) Clark and the little woman are Eastcrn-ites for the moment. They left their cozy cottage at 2812 South 2520 East for a convention in Detroit and then they went on East for furthei-sights. furthei-sights. Rptt.v and Wilbv Durham were out Sunday riding with their cute small fry. Nice family, fam-ily, that's for sure. |
