Show Local SUP Names Officer Slate; Elections Aug. 22 Annual election of officers for the Sugar House Sons of Utah Pioneers will take place Monday, Aug. 22, 7:15 p.m., at the Discovery Discov-ery Room of Covey's Coffee Shop, 534 South Main. A nominating committee composed com-posed of Richard A. Lambert, Sterling H. Nelson and David S. King has prepared a slate of nominees for presentation Monday Mon-day evening. Additional nominations nom-inations may be made from the floor bj' members, according to Mr. Lambert. For president of the chapter for 1949-50, tile committee com-mittee has nominated Horace A. Sorensen, incumbent. For first, second and third vice president, the committee has nominated: Clarence H. Tingev, 12S8 E. Crystal Ave.: Clifton H. Ludwig, 2657 So. Kith East; David M. Evans, 1751 E. 4620 South: Dr. Leslie D. Rurbidge, 2645 Hillsden Drive: Ralph A. Barnes, 1420 Roosevelt Ave.; and L Burt Bigler, 2971 So. 7th East. The three receiving the most number of votes will fill the three vice president positions posi-tions in the order of the vote majority. Monday's meeting will be the regular membership dinner meeting. Following dinner and elections, Leon Frehner, city planner, will speak on "The; Utah Pioneer Memorial State Park." |
