Show J. High Review Of Shakespeare (Ed. Note We are publish-ing publish-ing as next a series ol a Shakespeare play as you'll ver see. Clear, concise, short. It was written by an Olympus Jr. High student and published publish-ed in the school paper.) How now, Butch! Yes, since April 18, everyone has been quoting Shakespeare. Why? All the ninth grade English classes took a merry little jaunt up to Kingsbury Hall to see Shakespeare's Shake-speare's tragedy, "Othello." They caught the Salt Lake City Lines bus right after fifth period. The play lasted three hours, but it was worth it. The main plot of the story was jealousy. Iago, the villain, was trying to make Othello jealous of his lovely wife, Desdemona. This he did because he was jealous of Othello's position and also of his wife (naturally). In the end Othello chokes Desdemona Desde-mona because he thinks she is two-timing him, which she real ly wasn't. Meanwhile Iago kills Roderigo, his accomplice, so he won't talk. In the showdown, Emilia, Iago's wife, betrays her husband's plot so Iago kills her. Othello finds out that he has killed innocent Desdemona so he kills himself. Iago, the rat, is taken into custody for later execution. ex-ecution. "Inner Sanctum" just can't compare with the thriller turned out by this man, Shakespeare. Shake-speare. The scenery, acting, and costuming cos-tuming were superb. It is remarkable re-markable how they can change scenery so quickly. |
