Show Cannegeiter Concert Given at Libbie Edward One of the southeast Salt Lake's most popular concert artists, Morris Cannegeiter, Thursday was presented in vocal concert at Libbie Edward School by faculty students and patrons y of the school. Mr. Cannegeiter, a baritone, sang 14 numbers. Purpose of the school-sponsored affair was to help raise funds for the school. Two specific spe-cific projects were described by Principal F. Earl Walker: to buy paintings for the school, purchase playground equipment. Mr. Cannegeiter was assisted by the Libbie Edward School Chorus, directed by La Rue Hathway and the East Mill Creek Quartette. Accompanist was Arthur S. Woods. The young baritone is a graduate grad-uate of the Utah State Agricultural Agricul-tural College where he majoreo in music. Among his outstanding achievements in music at college were lead roles in Rigoletto and Carmen. A native of Murray Mr. Cannegeiter was formerly head of the vocal department at Carbon Junior College. He studied with Emma Lucy Young Gates Bowen. |
