Friday" the open-hou.se was held at her home between the hours of 3 and 5 p.m. and 7 and 10 p.m. All the professional touches of a downtown specialty special-ty shop met the invited guests. Ceramic arts, paintings, needlework needle-work and other hobbies were displayed by the talented women wom-en in that area. Mrs. Richard O. Winkler won excited comment (especially at this Christmas season) on her teddy bear toys and marionettes. Also winning praise for their works of art were Mrs. Fred W. Clegg who had made famous personality dolls and done textile tex-tile painting; Glayds Dean for her ceramics and copper work; Mrs. Lovell Stokes for her figure fig-ure painting, which had won previous recognition at the Idaho Ida-ho state fair; Ij3ra Lee Huff for her clay modeling, leather tooling, tool-ing, fungus painting and needlework; needle-work; and Mrs. Blanche Dagron for her china and landscape painting. |
