Show Week's Doings At Westminster The Girls' Glee club of Westminster West-minster college presented the annual an-nual Christmas pageant, "A Mystery Mys-tery for Christmas," at the First Congregational Church Sunday evening. Those taking part were: Doris Warner as Mary; Pedro Delgado as Joseph; Beverly Bev-erly Cone as Gabriel. Soloists were: Jane Bartlett, Suzanna Bingham, Beverly Cone, Barbara Bar-bara Harris, Rosemarie Hinton, and Doris Warner. John Brown, Bill Lukey and Fred Zimmerman Zimmer-man played the role of the Three Kings; Paul Cotro-Manes and Ralph Lubeck were the Shepherds; Shep-herds; and Shirley Mertens and Joyce Hampton were the Walking Walk-ing Angels. An appreciative congregation of about 500 witnessed wit-nessed the production. The Mistletoe Hop held Saturday Satur-day night was a grand success, aocording to all those who attended. at-tended. The main event of the evening was the announcing of the Personality Boy and Girl who had been elected by the student stu-dent body. Ralph Miller was Personality Boy and Pearl Na-centa Na-centa was the Personality Girl. Miss Nacenta was presented with an orchid. Jane Bartlett was chairman of the committee for the dance with Glen Ash-worth Ash-worth and John Brown assisting. assist-ing. Eugene Shumacher and Pat Neale were on the refreshment refresh-ment committee. The German club presented a Christmas program in chapel Dec. 12, at 9:45 a.m. The program pro-gram started with the assembly singing Silent Night in German. Those taking part were Herbert Dunn, Rev. Frank Schweissing, Clara Simpson, Hazel Haines, Lucille Shafer, Bob McCauley and Jack Hurd. The gospel teams of Westminster West-minster college presented the chapel Monday morning. Pauline Paul-ine Barkle gave a marimba solo "Star of the East" and Peter Katz sang "The Birthday of the King." "Making Room for Christmas" was the topic of a talk given by Louise Turner. The assembly joined in the singing sing-ing of the Christmas carols. The Men's Glee club was in charge of the chapel program Tuesday morning. A varied program pro-gram was presented with Robert Rob-ert Ertel, Ed Pearson and Art Hutchens as soloists. The Christmas vacation starts Friday afternoon at 5, and everyone every-one is anxiously awaiting the time of going home for two weeks. The Christmas spirit is expressed more vividly by a large decorated tree in the hall. |
