Show Hygeia Ice Co. Has Fire Scare Due to the keen eye and Quick thinking of Neighbor Grant Pett -"nd i ho speed and efficiency of the lor-al fire department, the fire which broke out in the Hy-geia Hy-geia Ice Co.-, 1208 E. 21st So., caused only minor damage. The fire apparently broke out Wednesday evening when the smouldering sawdust in an old salt room off the main office, burst into flame. Workmen had been in the salt, room earlier in the day. thawing out a water line which had frozen. Mr. Pett. owner of the Petf Nursery. 1220 E. 2tst So., reported report-ed the fire at approximately 9 p m.. Wednesday. The Sugar House fire department arrived immediately thereafter and brought the flames under control. con-trol. Ray D. Free, an officer of the company, expressed the firm's sincere gratitude and appreciation ap-preciation for the work both of Mr. Pett and the fire department personnel. He reported that the damages were, "very small." |
