Show Co. Bee Inspector Finds 112 Golonies Diseased The annual bee inspector's report re-port was submitted to the Duchesne Du-chesne County Board of Commissioners Com-missioners by Frank Yack, of Roosevelt, county bee inspector. In his report, the inspector showed that out of the 3,105 colonies inspected in 93 apiaries, 112 of these colonies were diseased dis-eased and were either destroyed by gassing, boiling, or burning by the owner, other beekeepers, or the inspector. In comparison, last year, out of 2,551 colonies inspected in 90 apiaries. 52 of the diseased colonies were destroyed and two were treated. Both last year's and this year's report shows 21 diseased apiaries. The bee report is made annually an-nually by the county bee inspector, in-spector, who is appointed by the Duchesne County Commissioners. Commission-ers. Information listed in the report, re-port, which is to be made on or before October 1 of each year, shows a separate listing of each apiary. The inspector is required to give the owner's name, address, date apiaries are inspected, total to-tal number of colonies, number of colonies diseased, number of colonies gassed, number of colonies col-onies burned, boiled, or otherwise other-wise destroyed; date destroyed by the owner, other beekeeper, of the inspector; and the location loca-tion of each apiary. Such report is made to the State Department of Agriculture and to the Board of County Commissioners. |
