Show Altonah Auxiliary Completes Fund Raising Project The Altonah American Legion Auxiliary has recently completed complet-ed a unit project which supplied the Toyack Unit and Post 53 with tables, chairs and playing cards. Under the chairmanship of Ruby -McMillan, the group sold advertising to businesses in ten different communities of the county in order to raise funds for the project. Advertising space in $25, $15, $10 and $5 lots were subscribed. The business busi-ness ads were pointed in white lettering on the tops of the brown leatherette-covered tables. Information listed was the trade name, telephone number, address ad-dress and other brief advertising-material advertising-material about each business. Four of the $25 adds were used in the center of each of the 24 tables as a' start for the blocking process. Communities subscribing to the advertising we.re Altonah, Altamont, Bluebell, B o n e t a, Bridgeland, Duchesne, Roosevelt, Mt. Home, Upalco and Myton, In addition to the advertising, $42 was given to the unit by individuals in-dividuals and businesses who did not subscribe to the advertising. adver-tising. Sufficient funds were raised during the project drive to purchase pur-chase 30 matching steel chairs and 96 decks of playing cards. As an extra premium, the company com-pany supplying the tables allowed al-lowed the group 20 decks of pinochle cards free. Part of the shipment of chairs and tables were unpacked for use during installation rites held at the partly renovated Cal-der Cal-der Creamery building this month. The unit expects the tables and chairs to receive their major initiation the eve-'ning eve-'ning of August 3, when the Al-, Al-, tonah Legion Post and Auxiliary jUnit will be hpst and hostess to other Legionnaires and Auxiliary Auxil-iary members in the Uintah Basin Ba-sin area. |
