Show tfltcHalt Mrs. Ethel Beebe Legion Opens New Home With Dance The American Legion held its opening dance in the new hall Monday night. A large crowd was in attendance. Judy Jessen, of Salt Lake City, is here spending a week with her father, Dewey Jessen. j The many friends of Mr. and Mrs. Grant Monson were shocked shock-ed and grieved at the drowning of their son and wish to express their deepest sympathy. Mr. and Mrs. Ivin Karren, of Bonanza, visited Mrs. Karren's parents, Mr. and Mrs. Jerry Clark, recently, while on a two weeks vacation. They also enjoyed en-joyed a fishing trip. Mr. and Mrs. Jack Worthlin and son, of Salt Lake City, spent some time during' the week visiting Mrs. Worthlin's parents, Mr. and Mrs. Dallas Ames. Mr. and Mrs. Verl Olsen and family, of Carbon county, were week-end guests of Mr. and Mrs. Ed Olsen. Mr. and Mrs. Gilbert Beebe attended the Beebe reunion at Liberty Park in Salt Lake City last Saturday and Sunday. They spent Saturday night at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Austin Beebe in Salem. Mr. and Mrs. Oliver Bowden, of Gusher visited Sunday at the home of Mr. Bowden's mother, Mrs. Mary Bowden, and with his I brothers, Charlie, Clinton and Louie. Mr. and Mrs. Norman Hayes and family, of Provo, spent several sev-eral days visiting Mrs. Hayes parents, Mr. and Mrs. Jesse A. Fowler, during the week. George Mecham accompanied Thorald Mecham and sons, of Salt Lake City to Lapoint Saturday, Sat-urday, where they spent the day at the home of Mrs. Afton Forakis. A large crowd of Altonah people celebrated July 23-24 at the Altamont rodeo. Mr. and Mrs. Robert Snyder and family and Albert Snyder, of Springville, visited their mother, Mrs. Elva Snyder, and other relatives for several days during the week. Mrs. Milton Anderson was in the Roosevelt hospital last week from Sunday until Thursday. Mr. and Mrs. George Carroll, and Mr. and Mrs. Albert Clark went to Vernal Saturday where Mrs. Carroll and Mrs. Clark received re-ceived medical attention. Mr. and Mrs. Dru Cook, of Garden'City, Idaho, visited Mrs. Cook's grandmother, Mrs. Mary Bowden, Monday. Her brothers, Gordon and Arden Nichols, accompanied ac-companied them home, after spending two months at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Clinton Bowden. Elaine Carroll, who is employed em-ployed in Salt Lake City, spent Tuesday and Wednesday with her parents, Mr. " and Mrs. George Carroll. Mr. and Mrs. Clinton Bowden went to Salt Lake City Wednesday, Wednes-day, where Mr. Bowden will receive re-ceive treatment for his arm. |
