Show Lions Hear Vernal Chamber Sec'y The Lions Club members and their wives enjoyed a dinner Thursday evening. Visiting JS were Frank Ward secretary secre-tary of the Vernal Chamber of Commerce, and Mr. and Mrs. eS Chandler, of Myton. Mr. Ward was the guest speaker. Relief Society was held Tuesday Tues-day at the home of Mrs. Lu,a Dudley Mrs. Dudley presented thMr "and Mrs. J. E. Jensen visited Monday in Vernal witn Mr and. Mrs. Richard Jensen. Mr and Mrs. Edgar Jensen and two" sons were Vernal visitors vis-itors on Monday. Members of the Stake Sunday School superintendency who visited vis-ited here this week included Jesse Hullinger. Max . Gardner, and Dwain Buchanan. Hign Councilman - Albert H. Harris, of Fort Duchesne, was also a vis- 1 Blake V. Peay. Jr., spent the week end' visiting in Provo. Lark Leader Mildred Brough and the Lark girls entertained their mothers Wednesday. Games were played and light refreshments served. Mrs Lola Christensen visited the Avalon School Thursday. Mr and Mrs. LaRue Pickup attended the 24th annual convention con-vention of the Utah State Association As-sociation of County Officials at the Newhouse Hotel in Salt Lake City three days last week. Mer-rell Mer-rell Chandler, of Myton, stayed at the Pickup home to help with the chores while they were away. William Chandler underwent surgery Saturday at the Uintah Basin Hospital, Vernal.
