Show Reorganizes .... 7. Gabbert Retained As President of C. C. Following the seating of five newly elected directors of the Roosevelt" Chamber of Commerce Com-merce at a special board meeting meet-ing at the Frontier Grill last night, the board was reorganized, reorgan-ized, with Thomas Gabbert, manager of Safeway, being retained re-tained as its president to complete com-plete a full year. He was selected se-lected president last November, but due to the short term he had served, the board ruled that he was entitled to a full year's term. Gordon Harmston, co-owner-manager of the Frontier Grill cafe, was retained as vice-president; Robert Montgomery, assistant as-sistant manager of the Commercial Commer-cial Bank of Utah at Roosevelt, is the recording secretary, and Paul Murphy was retained as treasurer. Cliff Memmott and Bruce Fitzgerald were selected to serve on the executive committee com-mittee with the officers. Albert Harris is the retiring secretary, and E. J. Nixon has previously served along with Mr. Memmott on the executive committee. The five new directors who were chosen by the general membership of the Chamber of Commerce during the election held last week-end are Mr. Fitzgerald, Fitz-gerald, Mr. Harmston. Marrell Wilkins, Victor Brown and Kenneth Ken-neth Aycock. They will serve the next three years. Howard Harmston, . Lawrence Pack and Lynn Labrum . are vthe retiring directors: Gordon Harmston and Marrell Wilkins . were re-elected. The official installation of officers, of-ficers, meeting that had been tentatively . scheduled for Feb. 16.- has been postponed until early in March to make it possible pos-sible to secure the services of Gus P. Backman, executive secretary sec-retary of the Salt Lake Chamber Cham-ber of Commerce, as the main j speaker. |
