Show Altamont Annua! Staff Sends Copy To Printers The first section of the "Round-Up," Altamont Hign School's yearbook, was submitted submit-ted to the publishers on Jan. id, reports Minnie Lu Jesse" business busi-ness manager for the "Round- UP6ther sections of the school annual are scheduled to be submitted sub-mitted to the Art Ci y Publishing Publish-ing Co. of Spnngville on Feb. 15 and March 15. April 1 is the deadline set for all material to be sent to the publisher states Doyle K. Swallow, faculty adviser ad-viser to the yearbook staff. Materials contained in the U-page U-page yearbook include pictures of school faculty and administration adminis-tration officials, student groups class scenes, sports, individual class ' pictures, club activities, school buildings and campus. The "Remember When" section is being' contributed by the senior sen-ior class. There will also be a section for jokes and humor, sketches, class will and prophesy and advertising. . A standard padded cover was chosen for. the 1951-52 "Round-Up." "Round-Up." Background color for the cover will be maroon with the title lettered in gold. The "Round-Up" staff has the overall supervision of the book, including, its design, and arrangements ar-rangements of the pictures and sections. .Members of the staff are: Joan Carlile , and Wanda Mitchell, co-editors; Curtis Das-trup,' Das-trup,' jdnior editor;' Laura Jean Potts and Larry Mitchell, sophomore soph-omore editors; Minnie Lu Jessen, business manager; LaJean Rees, Luana Morrell, and LaRue Rowley,' Row-ley,' advertising and sales; Vern-etta- Gomm-and Sheila Evans, artists; Financing of the annual edition edi-tion to the subscriptions, is being be-ing done' by promotion of fund-raising fund-raising projects by the staff and other school, organizations. A benefit yearbook dance is sponsored spon-sored each year by the yearbook staff to raise funds for publication publica-tion of the "Round-Up." Sale of advertising to business establishments estab-lishments in the county is another an-other source: of income. A special spe-cial section in the back of the yearbook is reserved for this advertising ad-vertising material. This year's orders for the "Round-Up" will be more than a hundred, and they will be sold for $3.00 per copy. Distribution of the annual is scheduled for about May 1, Mr. Swallow said. |
