Show Legion Auxiliary Convenes At R. S. Jordan Home I A large group of members and guests of the American Legion Auxiliary. Basin Unit 64, convened con-vened Wednesday, Jan. 23, at the home of Bee Jordan Irma Sutteer, of Fort Duchesne, Du-chesne, president, took charge of the meeting and introduced the guest speaker. Afton Harri-! Harri-! son, who discussed various legislative leg-islative measures pertaining to bills in which the Auxiliarv members are interested. Corri'-I Corri'-I pleting the program were two vocal numbers by Gertrude :Moysh, accompanied by Elaine Hullinger. j In a short business meeting, I mem'bers voted to contribute : $2.50 to the Tuberculosis driv, $10.00 to the polio fund, and $5.00 to the L D S Children's Hospital in Salt Lake City. A delicious luncheon was served to the following members and guests present by the hostess, host-ess, Mrs. Jordan: Alyce Aycock, Rosane Cannelley, Lela Labrum, Leah Allred, Edith Olpin, Gertrude Ger-trude Moysh, Mable Curtis, Irma Ir-ma Sutteer, Clista Angus, Afton Af-ton Harrison, Elaine Hullinger, Millicent Thomas, and Gladys Harris, of Myton, president of District 9. Bouquets of daffodils and roses ros-es offered a festive setting for the well-attended meeting. The next meeting is scheduled i to be held at the home of Alyce Aycock. Every person eligible to join the Auxiliary is cordially cor-dially invited to attend next time and join the group. To be eligible it is necessary to have a husband, brother, or father of World Wars I or II, or someone some-one in the Korean conflict. |
