Show Altowah Mrs. Ethel Beobe M I A Leadership Meeting Is Held Stake MIA leadership meeting meet-ing was held here Saturday night. Community singing was lead by Mrs. Ilez Ames, with Sherrall Ames at the piano. Ross Berrett, stake counselor for the M-Men, was in charge of the program, which was as follows: fol-lows: Theme of the meeting, Mau-rine Mau-rine Miles, of Mt. Home: skit, Robert Clark and Neil Knight, 'Land of Home," Veretta Gomm directed by Ross Berrettr duet. "Land of Home," by Veretta Gomm and Bernice Boswell, of Mt. Emmons; scriptural reading. Mrs. Margaret Maxfield. Grant Mace, Boy Scout field executive, showed a reel of the Boy Scout Jamboree. Altonah received the honor roll card for having the highest in attendance. The rest of the evening was devoted to' dancing. Altonah Ward served refreshments. Keith Snyder made a trip to Salt Lake City Friday for a load of grain for the Thacker feed, grinding and mixing plate at Altamont. Mr. and Mrs. Charley Timothy Timo-thy and family, of Bonanza, spent the week end with Mrs. Timothy's parents. Mr. and Mrs. W. A. Maxfield. and other relatives. rela-tives. Mr. and Mrs. Grant Smith, of Roosevelt, called at ' the Gilbert Gil-bert Beebe home Sunday. Mr. and Mrs. Ed Olsen. of Whiterocks, were here Sunday to look after their place. In last week's news it was reported that Albert Clark had taken his wife to a Salt Lake hospital, but later it was found they had started for Salt Lake and had to return home because the roads were blocked. Mrs. Clark received medical care in Vernal. Mr. and Mrs. Tuff Reay, of Ioka, visited Mr. and Mrs. Dean Reay and Mr. and Mrs. Lee Jessen. Jes-sen. Wednesday. Harold Fowler, secretary of the R E A, spent from Monday until Wednesday in Rangely, Colorado' on business. Mr. and Mrs. Robert Burson 'spent several days in Salt Lake City the first of the week. Mrs. Minnie Reay, of Canada, is here visiting her daughter, Mrs. Lee Jessen, and her son, Dean Reay. and their families. George Carroll made a business busi-ness trip to' Salt Lake City the latter part of the week. |
