Show Stella Underwood Meal Domgaard Is Made Corporal The Hyrum Domgaards have received word from Korea of the promotion of their son, Neai, to the rank of corporal. Neal recently met up with Henry Spencer, from Fort Duchesne, Du-chesne, and enjoyed visiting with him. The boys were students stu-dents together at Alterra High School. Congratulations to Mrs. Sarah D. Young, of Vernal, who celebrated cele-brated her 80th birthday on January Jan-uary 24. Mrs. Young was for many years a resident of Gusher, Gush-er, and her friends here wish her many happy returns of the day. Mr. and Mrs. Ted Gilbert and baby visited Thursday at Independence Inde-pendence with Mrs. Gilbert's grandmother, Mrs.' Ellen Dean. Mr. and Mrs. Nick Harm-ston, Harm-ston, of Roosevelt, were in Gusher Gush-er on business Thursday afternoon. after-noon. Hyrum and Ivan Domgaard were in Myton Wednesday on business. Mrs. Dorothy Brandt was ill and confined to her home last week by a heart ailment. Baptist Bible study class was held Thursday evening at the Carl Ross home. After class, refreshments re-freshments were served to the ten present. The next meeting will be held Thursday. Jan. 31, at the Guy Underwood home. Mrs. George Arnold has been on the sick list for the past ten days. Elsworth Brandt's baby boy has been quite ill for the past week and was taken to Roosevelt Roos-evelt for medical treatment. Mr. and Mrs. Carl Ross entertained en-tertained Mr. and Mrs. Lee Winward, of Roosevelt, at dinner din-ner Wednesday evening. The occasion celebrated Mrs. Win-ward's Win-ward's birthday anniversary. They attended the picture show in Roosevelt later in the evening. eve-ning. A number of high school students' stu-dents' from here attended the basketball game at Vernal Friday Fri-day night. They are sure it was their moral support which caused Union High to win by one point over the Utes. The Rev. and Mrs. Wm. Trow and children, of Roosevelt, were dinner guests Friday evening at the Hyrum Domgaard home. Mrs. Melvin Ross, of Vernal, visited Saturday evening with her son and daughter-in-law. |
