Show Republicans Complete Filings For County Nominating Convention Republican party filings are complete for the coming county nominating convention, to be held in Duchesne probably sometime next month. The deadline dead-line for the filings was Saturday. Satur-day. The convention itself should be harmonious, as none of the filings will be contested. In no instance have more than two candidates filed for office at the October primary. George Brandon, Mt. Home, ind Jess R. Allen, Myton, have filed for four-year commission-2r; commission-2r; Charley Bertola,"Myton, two-year two-year commissioner; Miss Laura H. Clemmons, Duchesne, county coun-ty treasurer; Carl J. Hacking, Roosevelt, and Dave W. Baum, Duchesne, sheriff; Mrs. Mary Young, Duchesne, recorder; Byron By-ron S. Collett, Duchesne, assessor; asses-sor; and R. Earl Dillman, Roosevelt, Roos-evelt, county attorney. James R. Hall, Roosevelt, has been nominated by petition for the county attorney post. As of now, the following Democrats Dem-ocrats have filed: Lindon Hansen, Han-sen, Altonah, for four-year commissioner; com-missioner; William H. Crozier, Roosevelt, two-year commissioner; commission-er; Porter L. Merrcll, Duchesne, county clerk; and Edward W. Crosby, Mt. Emmons, assessor. Prospective Democratic candidates candi-dates have until 20 days prior to the county nominating convention conven-tion to complete their filings. |
