Show Senator Watkins To Keynote GOP Convention Arthur V. Watkins, Utah's senior United States Senator, 1 will deliver the keynote address next: Saturday morning, April 26, at the opening session of the Republican State Convention. A total of 1255 delegates from the State's 29 counties will meet in an all-day session in Rainbow Rain-bow Randevu, Salt Lake City, to select 14 delegates and 14 alternates al-ternates for the GOP National Convention, opening in Chicago on July 7. Election of a national committeeman commit-teeman and committeewoman, state chairman and vice-chair man, and Utah's four Republican Republi-can presidential electors will also be on the order of business. Candidates for national and state offices will be selected at the party's Nominating Con- vention August 1-2, but backers of leading aspirants in the Pres- i idential race are expected to stage demonstrations on behalf of their candidates at Saturday's convention.
