Show Xlirrr rrtfea rrrrrW'--' ' Deputy Sheriff Sherman Anderson, An-derson, accompanied by Bert Gardner, drove to Topeka, Kansas, Kan-sas, and St. Louis, Missouri, to get two prisoners, returning to Roosevelt Monday night. Mr. Gardner made several business contacts while on . the trip. Mrs. Frank Chamberlin returned re-turned to her home in White-rocks White-rocks Sunday, after being confined con-fined to the St. Mark's hospital for the past several weeks. Her mother and father, Mr. and Mrs. Montgomery, and her sisters, Mrs. Fred Williams and Mrs. Effie Sharaman, are visiting her. Expected to arrive this week is Lt. Leslie Beardall. of Fort Duchesne, brother of Mrs. John Swenson.' Lt. Beardall is enjoying en-joying a- six-week furlough and will then perhaps return to service ser-vice for a three-month period. He recently returned from Korea, where he participated in 55 missions as a bombadier. His wife and two children, who have been living in Orem with relatives rel-atives during his absence, will accompany him to Roosevelt. Visiting in Roosevelt with Mrs. Jack Harmston are her brother, Stephen Pratzner, and two friends, Bill Schorn and Jerry Rapp, of Reading, Penn. Mrs. George Pulos arrived home Sunday after spending a month in Coulee Dam, Washington, Washing-ton, with her daughter, Mrs. Bill Walker, and family, and in Sandy, Oregon, with other relatives. Mr. and Mrs. Douglas Murray and son, of Helper, are guests at the Clyde Murray residence. Mr. and Mrs. Douglas Lawson, of Vernal, were Roosevelt visitors vis-itors during the week. Mr. Law-son Law-son manages the Coca Cola Bottling Bot-tling Co. in Vernal. Mr. and Mrs. Verlen Labrum were Easter Sunday guests at the homes of Mrs. Olga Roberts and Mr. and Mrs. Grant Anderson, Ander-son, in Salt Lake City. During their four-day visit in the City, Mr. and Mrs. Labrum attended the J. C. Penney Co. meeting-held meeting-held in the Tribune-Telegram auditorium. Mr. ; and Mrs. Ken Sprouse and family visited in Orem Sunday. Sun-day. E. J. Nixon and Alva Snow were Salt Lake business visitors during the week. Mrs. Lee Harmston returned Sunday from Salt Lake City, where she underwent, a major operation on April 6. She recuperated re-cuperated at her mother's home before returning to Roosevelt.. Mr. and Mrs. Ted Harmston spent several days in Salt Lake City, where Mrs. Harmston attended at-tended the annual beauty operators op-erators convention at the New-house New-house Hotel. They returned home Tuesday night. Heard that Nancy Marimon, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Robert Rob-ert Marimon, of Whiterocks, had been awarded a scholarship to Occidental College in Los Angeles. Major and Mrs. Elbert Curtis, and family are guests at the home of Mrs. Curtis' parents. Mr. and Mrs. Ren Johnston. Major Curtis will leave . soon for service with the Army in Alaska. His family will join him there sometime in June or July. He was last stationed at Ft. Collins. Colorado, and prior to that had served two years in J Hawaii. Mr. and Mrs. George Stewart and daughters. Nancy and Mrs. John Chasel, arrived home this week from an enjoyable trip to ' several Eastern states. They were gone several weeks and: visited with Mr. Chasel in Virginia Vir-ginia before he embarked for New Foundland on - military ' duty. They also hadhe opportunity oppor-tunity of visiting with their son-in-law. Garth Gardner, who is serving an IDS mission in the Central-Atlantic States. Overnight visitors Monday at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Shields were his sister. Mrs. Kenneth E. Zirker, and children, of Ignacio, Colorado. They also visited other relatives in this) area.
