Show Assessor Releases Basis For Miration Of Livestock In Duchesne County; Drop Expected In Taxes From Cattle The basis for assessed valuation valua-tion of livestock in Duchesne County for 1954 has been listed for publication by Assessor G. B. Workman. Most of the assessments as-sessments per head on livestock is lower than for 1953. Purebred stock is assessed IV2 to 2 times the assessed value val-ue for grade animals and feeder feed-er stock is -assessed according to value for length of time fed in 1954 prior to sale for slaughter. slaugh-ter. Expects Drop In Value Assessor Workman estimates that an approximate loss of 5zou,uuu on came assessment valuation faces Duchesne County Coun-ty this year, providing there are about the same number of cattle in the county. He calculates calcu-lates this loss on some 25,000 head of cattle at $10 per head average assessed valuation drop over 1953. Last year, cattle assessments totaled 25,595 head at a total assessed valuation of $755,790. Sheep assessments were 47,1,02 head at $14,560.
