Show Dairy Official Shows Films To Union Students Max Bowles, Field Supervisor Supervi-sor for the Cache Valley Association, Asso-ciation, presented a very interesting inter-esting lecture and showed slides to a group of approximately approxi-mately 60 agricultural students at Union High school Thursday, Thurs-day, March 25. Mr. Bowles showed pictures of several outstanding bulls owned by Cache Valley Breeding Breed-ing Association. Also shown were pictures of daughters of these bulls owned by dairymen throughout Utah. Cache Valley Breeding Association Asso-ciation is owned and controlled by dairymen of six states. Mr. Bowles reported that in 1949, which was the first full year of operation of the Association, 6,866 cows were bred. From that figure in 1949 the number of cows have increased to 45,-000 45,-000 in the year, 1953. In four years of operation 80,000 dollars dol-lars has ibeen paid back to dairymen as patronage refund. Mr. Bowles was assisted by Charles Edwards, local technician. |
