Show Old Folks And High Priest Party Successful The annual Old Folks and High Priest party held Monday afternoon was attended by approximately ap-proximately 300 people, who were first entertained as guests of Mr. and Mrs. Howard Harrison Harri-son at a movie, "The Boy from Oklahoma," at the Roosevelt Theatre. They later progressed to the Roosevelt stake house for a program pro-gram and refreshments. Master of ceremonies and chairman of the highly successful success-ful event was Melvin J. Benson, chairman of the LDS stake Old Folks committee. Included on the program were the following: follow-ing: violin solo, Mrs. Alma Wills, accompanied by Mrs. R. V. Larson; reading, Henry Wall; vocal duet, Mr. and Mrs. John A. Olsen; trumpet solo, Clark Roberts, accompanied by Mrs. Roberts; reading, Mr. Olsen. As tokens of appreciation for their faithful term of service, the former High Priest presidency presi-dency and secretary were each presented with a book by P. E. Russon, stake High Priest president. pres-ident. Receiving the gifts were: Leland M. Angus, Lionel Jensen, Jen-sen, Squire Mangum and Louie Galloway. The party was indeed deemed a great success by all who attended at-tended and enjoyed the affair. A special vote of appreciation apprecia-tion was extended to the Harrisons Har-risons for their generosity in inviting the group as guests to their theatre. |
