Show Mrs. Ellen Bracken Phone 62062 Larry La r sen Is Married To Luane McDonald Larry Larsen; son of Mr. and Mrs. Bernard Larsen, who is with the armed forces and stationed sta-tioned at Ft. Ord, Calif., is enjoying en-joying a short furlough home. Larry and Miss Luane McDonald, McDon-ald, daughter of Mrs. Violet McDonald, of Duchesne, were married in the Salt Lake Temple Tem-ple on Tuesday. They will give a wedding 'dance at Victory Park on Friday evening. HAVE A PARTY The Blazer class in Primary held a party on Tuesday, Mar. 23. The boys, Charles Jenkins, Elvin Kettle and Dennis Kettle, with their teacher, Mrs. Lois Cook, entertained their mothers Mrs. Barta Jenkins, Mrs. Dorothy Dor-othy Kettle and Mrs. Ardis Kettle. Mr. and Mrs. Earl Gardner made a trip to' Salt Lake City one day last week on business. Mrs. David Lundberg re-returned re-returned from Lusk, Wyoming last week and plans to move her family up there this week to be near Mr. Lundberg, where he is employed. We regret losing los-ing the Lundberg family from our ward. Mr. and Mrs. Marvin Tippets made a trip to Vernal, Monday on business. The Uintah school board members were at the Alterra school on Tuesday, on their annual an-nual inspection tour. Ensign Clark, who is now living in Salt Lake City, with his parents, spent the weekend with friends in Ballard. Mr. and Mrs. Earl Winn made a trip tc Vernal on Saturday Sat-urday to consult a doctor for Mrs. Winn, who has been ill for several weeks. Mr. and Mrs. Ralph McMullin attended a surprise party at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Sidney Sid-ney Rust at Mt. Home last Thursday evening. The occasion was Mrs. Rust's birthday. 1 Lynn White, son of Mr. and Mrs. Alden White, who has been attending school at the US AC, has discontinued school in order to help on the farm. Mr. and Mrs. Clyde Bartlett, of Provo, have been recent visitors vis-itors at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Raymond Eldredge. Mr. and Mrs. Melvin Bingham Bing-ham and family, of Herriman, have been visiting at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Charles Bingham. Bing-ham. Mr. and Mrs. LeRoy Hal-verson, Hal-verson, of Neola, were at the Bingham home on Saturday. Mrs. Alice Squire presented the Literature lesson in Relief Society, on Tuesday. Spencer Squire attended a Principals' meeting in Salt Lake City on Thursday and Friday. He was accompanied by his and small children. While gone they visited at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Marion Ewell in Springville. Mrs. Ole Rasmussen has been appointed chairman of the Ballard Bal-lard vicinity in the Red Cross drive. Let us all be ready to contribute to this worthy cause when they call at our home. Practically all of the MIA officers and teachers and the bishopric attended the Four-Stake Four-Stake MIA convention held at Altamont on Saturday evening. Mr. and Mrs. Howard Dean and children have moved onto the farm of Dave Clark Vz mile west of the Alterra school. The 7th grade students, under un-der the supervision of their teacher, Mrs. Francis Horrocks, presented a play in the Alterra gym on Friday afternoon. Clarence Betts at this writing writ-ing is seriously ill in the Roosevelt Roose-velt Hospital with pneumonia and complications. He entered the hospital early in the week. Mr. and Mrs. Karl Bracken and two children returned to their home in Salt Lake City on Thursday after enjoying their vacation here. Karl has been an employee at xne o-rey nouuu Bus Depot for over seven years, i |
