Show Funeral Saturday .... Wayne Moon Dies Following Provo Motorcycle Accident Two former Hanna young men, Wayne Moon, 22, and his brother, Merrell, 18, were injured, in-jured, the former fatally, Monday Mon-day when the motorcycle they were riding collided with a car on West Center street in Provo. They are the sons of Mr. and Mrs. Nephi Moon, of Hanna. Wayne died in a Propo hospital hospit-al at 11:20 a.m. Wednesday as the result of the injuries received re-ceived on Monday. Funeral services will be held Saturday at 12 noon at the Provo Ninth LDS ward chapel under the direction of Bishop I Harold Hintzee. Friends mayl call at the Olpin Mortuary in Heber City Thursday and Fri-' day and at the family home in Provo, 457 East, 5th No. Saturday Satur-day until funeral time. Burial will be in Provo. Provo police said the motor- cycle collided with the front of a car driven by Lois Johnson, 37, Provo, as she made a left-hand left-hand turn into the driyeway of her home. The driver of the cycle was attempting to pass the car as it turned left. The motorcycle went into a deep ditch about 38 feet from the point of impact, coming to rest 49 feet farther down the ditch, police investigators said. One of the youths was thrown 19 feet beyond the point where the motorcycle came to rest. The victims were taken to the Utah Valley hospital where Wayne's condition was considered consider-ed critical. Merrill suffered shocks and bruises, while his brother is reported to have received re-ceived a compound fracture of the right leg, fractured skull, internal injuries and bruises. |
