Show Mm. Elsie Bird Birthday Parties For Children Mrs. Jack Gilbert entertained a group of small children at a birthday party Saturday in honor hon-or of her son, Lamar, and her daughter, Wendy. A very enjoyable en-joyable afternoon was spent playing games. Refreshments were served. Mr. and Mrs. Jack Goodrich, of Tridell. spent Sunday at the home of Mrs. Goodrich's mother, moth-er, Mrs. Rose Gilbert. Mr. and Mrs. Ken Zirker and sons, of Mesclaro, New Mexico, and Mrs. John Zirker and son, Ronald, left Monday for Moses Lake, Wash., to visit Mr. and Mrs. Julius Zirker. They returned re-turned Friday, bringing John Zirker back with them. Garn and Jack Gilbert each, took a truck load of cattle to Salt Lake Tuesday. Mr. and Mrs. Charlie Jensen and son, Kent, spent several days in Salt Lake City, during the week. Friday night the following attended at-tended the basketball game in Vernal between Union and Uintah: Uin-tah: Mr. and Mrs. Marion Ross, Charlie Bird, Delaine Bird, Clark and Steel Lusty. Mr. and Mrs. Sharon Holgate of Roosevelt, and family, spent the weekend with Sharon's parents, par-ents, Mr. and Mrs. Hale Holgate. Hol-gate. Mrs. Marvin G. Shields was taken, to Roosevelt, Saturday, where she received medical treatment for an infection in her eye. 1 Miss Shirley Zirker, of Heber, and Marilyn Zirker, of Provo, spent' the weekend at the home of Mr. and Mrs. John Zirker. Merlyn RossV Pauline Larsen, Naomi and Ga yle Gilbert all came in from Provo to spend the weekend. Mr. and Mrs. Charlie Bird, Deon and Delaine and Mildred visited .Sunday at the homes of Mr. and Mrs. Emery Neilson, of Myton, and Mr. and Mrs. Jennings Jen-nings and John Solmonson, and Mr. and Mrs. Loryn Ross, of Pleasant Valley. Earl Sweat, of Fruitland; Mr. Barker, of Duchesne, and Marion Mar-ion Ross were speakers at Sacrament Sac-rament meeting Sunday eve-.ning. eve-.ning.
