Show Cubs Present Skit The members of the Myton Cub Scouts joined two other dens at the Roosevelt stake house, Saturday Satur-day evening for a pack meeting, with Rulon D. Skinner in charge of the' metting. The Cubs presented present-ed a skit depicting "The First Thanksgiving in America," as their theme for the month is, "America the Beautiful." Mr. and Mrs. S. F. Mortensen, Sr. went to Salt Lake City last week. Mr. Mortensen returned Saturday, Sat-urday, while his wife remained for a longer visit to care for a relative rela-tive who has just been released from the' hospital. Mr. and Mrs. James Dalgleish were dinner guests at the home of Mr. and Mrs. R. J. Adams in Roosevelt, Sunday, to join Mr. and Mrs. Sam Snyder and children, of Vernal, and Mrs. Labrum and Miss Judy Lambert. Mr. and Mrs. Syerl Dennis were called to Springville, Monday, by the death of Mrs. Dennis brother, Leland R. Whiting, who died Saturday Sat-urday at noon at his home in Salt Lake City. He was the operator of the Sherwood Motel. An infant daughter arrived Monday Mon-day at the Roosevelt Hospital to bless the home' of Mr. and Mrs. Russell Gingell. The little Miss has a small brother who eagerly awaits the arrival home of his new sister. Mr. and Mrs. Earl Gingell Gin-gell of Myton are the proud paternal pater-nal grandparents, while Mr. and Mrs. Reed McConkie of Tridell, are the happy maternal grandparents. grandpar-ents. ENTERTAIN FRIENDS Mr. and Mrs. James Dalgleish entertained Sunday evening at a dessert luncheon, followed by an evening of bridge. Their guest list included Mr. and Mrs. Floyd Lamb of Roosevelt, Mr. and Mrs. P." E. Church, Mrs. Bliss Lott and Miss Alice Todd. High score prizes were awarded to Mr. and Mrs. Lamb. Mr. and Mrs. Ted Monks and family returned to their home on South Myton Bench, last week, coming from their ranch home near Hayden, Colorado. They have moved their sheep from the Colo, ranch to their winter grazing district dis-trict near Myton. Mr. and Mrs. James Fullmer and children came from Moab to spend the Thanksgiving weekend at the home of Mrs. Ful.lmer's parents, Mr. and Mrs. Levi Porrett. Mr. and Mrs. Earl Gingell and daughter Joyce went to Reams on Thanksgiving day where they were dinner guests at the home of their son and daughter-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Lyle Gingell. ROSS FAMILY GETS TOGETHER THANKSGIVING j The lovely ranch home of Mr. and Mrs. Marion Ross was filled to capacity on Thanksgiving day when members of the family and friends gathered to enjoy the hospitality hos-pitality of their hosts and their sons Larry and Lanny. Present were Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth Zirker and family of Worden, Washington; Mr. and Mrs. Marvin Shields and Mr. and Mrs. Joe Shields of Arcadia', Mrs. Lynn Hansen and children of Mt. Emmons; Mr. and Mrs.' Wanless Shields and sons of Bridgeland; Mr. and Mrs Ralph Shields and family, Mr. and Mrs. Norman Labrum and family, "Mr. and Mrs. Floyd Mecham and family fami-ly and Mr. and Mrs. Leon Ross, all of Roosevelt;. Mr. and Mrs. Loryn Ross and children of Myton. Mr. and Mrs. Neil Murray and children of Morgan are spending a ten day vacation in Myton with his parents, Mr. and .Mrs.-WUmer Murray, and with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. George Rogers in Mt. Emmons. Mr. and Mrs. Nathan Allan and children are spending the Thanksgiving Thanks-giving weekend in Salt Lake City visiting friends and relatives and to give the children the opportunity opport-unity to see Santa Claus.. HELP HONOR FATHERS Mr.' and Mrs. W. H. Linck went to Salt Lake City Friday, to attend the family gathering honoring Mr. Linck's father, William Linck, on his birthday anniversary. A family dinner on Saturday and open house on Sunday completed the festivities. Mr. vand Mrs. Rex Lamb and children went to Salt Lake City Sunday to be present at the open house honoring Mrs. Lamb's grandfather, grand-father, William Linck. While there the children greeted Santa and enjoyed en-joyed holiday shopping. Richard (Packy) Fenn who is attending at-tending the' University of Utah, came . home for the Thanksgiving holidays to visit his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Aldon Fenn. Gary Combs, of North Hollywood, Holly-wood, Calif., visited Mr. and Mrs. James Dalgleish, Friday. A former for-mer resident of Duchesne he came from California for the Thanksgiving Thanks-giving holidays to visit friends for a few days. Miss LeAnn Jordan, of Duchesne, accompanied him to Myton. |
