Show Doris All red Is FFA Sweetheart Friday, Nov. 25, the Moon Lake chapter of F.F.A. held their annual an-nual Harvest Ball. The main event of the evening was the crowning of Miss Doris Allred as F.F.A. Sweetheart, with Miss Cleo Clark and Gaye McDonald as her atten-dants. atten-dants. Each of the royalty received a corsage. A record, "I'm In Love With a Boy of the F.F.A." was played, followed by a vocal duet by Eva Swasey and Corene Cook of the theme song, "By the Light of the Silvery Moon." Winners of the turkeys were Ronald Powell, Stuart Allred, and F. J. Neilson. Mr. Bentley, F.F.A. advisor, Lyle Oman, F.F.A. president, and Ronald Ron-ald Miles, vice-president, had the honor of dancing the first dance after the intermission with the Sweetheart and her attendants. The decorations, which were planned plan-ned by Duane Evans, chairman of the committee, included the dis play of a model farm in miniature', which was very interesting. The Fall Faculty party, the first faculty party of the year, will be held at the Altamont gym at 8 pm. November 30. All faculty members and staffs of the high school and grade school with their partners are invited. Mr. and Mrs. Melwood Wall, former for-mer residents of Altamont, announce an-nounce the arrival of a son, born Nov. 21, weighing 6 lbs. 7 oz. The Walls now live in Salt Lake. Thanksgiving holiday brought Lula Farnsworth, Blaine and De-lores De-lores Corbin and family home' to visit with their parents, Mr. and Mr.s. Lindon Farnsworth. The twenty-three members of the Floyd Case family met for Thanksgiving dinner at the lovely new home of Mr. and Mrs. Moyle Parker in American Fork. In addition ad-dition to the Parkers, others present pres-ent were Mr. and Mrs. Myron Madsen and children of Monroe, Mr. and Mrs. Kelly Sprouse and children of Roosevelt, Mr. and Mrs. Darwin Morrel of Salt Lake and Mr. and Mrs. Case and Gayle. The LaVer Bentleys and LaVer's father,' Richard Ivins Bentley of Republic, Missouri, went to Salt Lake for the November 23 wedding wed-ding of Val Bentley and Maryann Thayne of Sunnyvale, Calif. WORK MEETING HELD BY RELIEF SOCIETY Mt. Emmons Relief Society held their all day monthly work day Tuesday, Nov. 22. Luncheon was served at noon. The' meeting was under the direction of Rosebell Ames. Next Tuesday's theology lesson on the Book of Mormon will be given by Zella Bennion. |
