This trophy is presented each month to the club which travels the greatest number of man miles to participate in an inter-club meeting. SSgt. Harold S. Eldredge, son of J. H. Eldredge of Roosevelt, received re-ceived his honorable discharge from the Army Air Force Nov. 21, at the AAF Separation Base, March Field, Calif. Sgt. Eldredge served as a radar technician in Europe for the past two years. He is authorized author-ized to wear the European Theater of Operations ribbon with four stars and the Good Conduct medal. 20 YEARS AGO Starting Monday, Dec. 2, ftehot lunch service will begin in Duchesne Du-chesne County schools, reports Mrs. Lettie Brown, county supervisor super-visor of WPA projects, Mrs. H. L. Allred will be in charge again at the Roosevelt Elementary school and the high school will have charge of its own program. The Toyackers played host last Friday evening to their fathers and an excellent banquet was prepared and served in the chapter room at the Roosevelt High School by the auxiliary association, under the direction di-rection of Miss Elinor Tasso, home economics instructor. The Altrus Club met at the home of Mrs. Mildred Dillman on Thursday. Mrs. Nola Horsley, the president, presided. Mrs. Hazel Ashton gave a very interesting and enjoyable report of her trip to Mexico; Mrs. Dillman gave a review of "Stars Look Down," by A. J. Cronin. Mr. and Mrs. Grant Killian motored mo-tored to Price, Sunday, to visit with Mrs. Killian's sister, Mrs. Reva Owen, who is in the hospital there. |
