Show BRIDGELATID Mrs. Sbelby Llsonbee Former Teacher Dies At Midway Friends and relatives were sad-ln?u sad-ln?u ar of the untimely death of Mrs. Merle Kelly Dean who died Monday at her home at Midway. Mrs. Dean is a niece of Reese Clayburn and had manv friends in this vicinity, having taught school at Roosevelt High School two years. At the' time of her death she was teaching at the high school at Heber. Those from Bridgel'and who went to Midway Wednesday to attend funeral services for Mrs. Dean were: J. R. Clayburn, Mr. and Mrs' Joe Clayburn, Mr. and Mrs. Reed Clayburn and Mr. and Mrs. Vere Neilsen. Mrs. Hazel Walters went to Salt Lake City the first of the week, where she received a medical check-up. While in the city she was able to be with her son, Leon, who . underwent an appendectomy at the LDS Hospital. Jack Liddell and sons, Ronald and Rulon, were Salt Lake City business visitors on Wednesday. - Mr. and Mrs. Bruce Fitzgerald went to Salt Lake, Saturday. Mr. and Mrs. Wanless Shields are driving a beautiful new Ford . car. Mr. and Mrs. J.- Alma Smith entertained en-tertained at a family dinner on Thanksgiving day with the following follow-ing members of their family there: Mr. and Mrs. Eugene Abplanalp, Mr. and Mrs. William Abplanalp of Utahn, Mr. and Mrs. Howard Smith and children of Provo, Mr. and Mrs. Roe' Smith and family, Mr. and Mrs. Carl Smith and family, fam-ily, Mr. and Mrs. Fred Needham and children of Salt Lake City, and Mr. and Mrs. Lawrence Young and children of Mt. Emmons. Mr. and Mrs. Earl Van Tassell. and family and Joseph Rhoades, of Tabiona, were visitors at Sacrament Sac-rament meeting Sunday evening. Mr. Van Tassell and Mr. Rhoades were speakers. Mr. and Mrs. Austin Beal and little daughters, Janice and Marsha of Salt Lake, came out to spend Thanksgiving with their sons. Clarence and Larry. They were dinner guests of Mr. and Mrs. Vere Neilsen. Mr. and Mrs. Moroni Marchant and Mr. and Mrs. A. J. Marchant, of Kamas, visited Wednesday with Bishop and Mrs. Carl Van Tassell. A. J. Marchant remained here for Thanksgiving. He is the father of Mrs. Van "Tassell. Mr. and Mrs. Ronald Liddell and baby left Monday for Salt Lake City to visit for a few days. Wilma Meyer, of Salt Lake City, spent the Thanksgiving holidays with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Frank Meyer. Holiday visitors at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Elden Liddell were: Louise Liddell and Mona Dee Abbott Ab-bott of Salt Lake, and Mr. and Mrs. Lon Farnsworth of Mt. Home. Thanksgiving Day guests at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Shelby Lis-onbee Lis-onbee were: Mr. and Mrs. Ivan McCourt and children, Connie and Donald. Mr. and Mrs. Jack Liddell entertained enter-tained at a family dinner Thanksgiving Thanks-giving Day. Guests were: Mr. and Mrs. Abe Liddell of Roosevelt, Mr. and Mrs. Bruce Fitzgerald and children, Mr. and Mrs. Joe Shep-hard Shep-hard and Billie Shephard, and Mr. and Mrs. Ronald Liddell and baby. Mr. and Mrs. Roy Taylor spent Thanksgiving at the home' of Mr. and Mrs. Norman Long at Roosevelt. Roose-velt. Mr. and Mrs. Earl Gail are living over to Roosevelt in the Timothy Apartments for the winter months where Mr. Gail will be able to receive medical attention. Mr. and Mrs. Harold Warren and children, Connie and Gary, of Vernal, Cloyd Marsing of Salt Lake City, were Thanksgiving dinner din-ner guests at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Elden Brady. Mr. and Mrs. Lloyd Brady, of Salt Lake City, visited during the holidays here with their parents, Mr. and Mrs. Elden Brady, and at Tabiona with Mr. and Mrs. Claude Wagstaff. They also visited at Mt. Emmons Sunday with Mr. and Mrs. Lyle Young and son, Perry. Mr. and Mrs. Ervin Murphy and family, Mr. and Mrs. Frank Murphy Mur-phy and family spent Thanksgiving Thanksgiv-ing with Mr. and Mrs. Roy Murphy Mur-phy at Bennett. Overnight guests at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Shelby Lisonbee Thursday were, Mr. and Mrs. Frank Monks, of Hayden. Colo. Mr. and Mrs. Joe Clayburn and children and J. R. Clayburn spent Thanksgiving at Provo with Mr. and Mrs. Ward Johnson. Mr. and Mrs. Ray Thomas and family, of Tabiona, were dinner guests of Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth Clayburn Thanksgiving day. Mrs. Edith Brady and daughters, Carol Ann and Darleen, and Mrs. Alice Warren, of Vernal, went to Provo, Friday to visit Mrs. Brady's and Mrs. Warren's mother, Mrs. Emma Rasmussen, who has been ill. They also visited Mr. and Mrs. Ronald Lisonbee at Salt Lake. Guests at the home' of Mr. and Mrs. Reed Stansfield Thanksgiving were: Mr. and Mrs. Orson Neilsen and Mr. and Mrs. Arveen Cooper and children of Vernal, Mr. and Mrs. Neldon Neilsen and children of Orem, Mr. and Mrs. Milton Neilsen Neil-sen and family, Mr. and Mrs. La- Mar Neilsen and family of Myton, and Mr. and Mrs. Sharron Mech-am Mech-am and family of Vernal, Mr. and Mrs. Harry Mangus and children of Duchesne. Mr. and Mrs. Lynn Hansen and children of Mt. Emmons, spent Tuesday visiting Mr. and Mrs. Wanless Shields. Mr. and Mrs. Malcolm Walters and daughter, Ruth, spent Thanksgiving Thanks-giving day at Utahn as guests of Mr. and Mrs. Leland Wright. They were accompanied home by their granddaughter, Linda Wright, who visited with them until Saturday. Sharron Neilsen and Paul Mad-sen, Mad-sen, of Salt Lake, were calling at the home of Sharron's parents, Mr. and Mrs Vere Neilsen, Monday. Mon-day. Rulon Liddell went to Provo Monday to make arrangements for enrolling in a vocational school and to find living quarters. Mr. and Mrs. Wanless Shields and sons, Jerry and Gary, were Thanksgiving day visitors at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Marion Ross in Pleasant Valley. |
