Show 17IIITER0CKS Madeena Smith Funeral Held For Myrtle La Rose Funeral services were' held for Mrs. Myrtle LaRose at the L.D.S. church house Saturday under the direction of the Olpin Mortuary, with the Indian Mission in charge of the services. The opening song was by Mr. and Mrs. Clyde Merkley, "Sometime "Some-time We'll Understand." The speakers were, Wendel Johnson, Bishop Gilbert Ellingford and Rex Curry; songs by Bobby LaRose, "I Think When I Read That Sweet Story of Old," and "The Old Rugged Rug-ged Cross," by Mr. and Mrs. Rex Taylor. Closing music was played by Marta Morrill. The Whiterocks Relief Society was in charge of the flowers. Burial' Bur-ial' was in the Whiterocks cemetery. ceme-tery. The Frank Griffin family spent Thanksgiving in Altamont with the Ross Iorg family. Dr. and Mrs. Kaye Killburn, of Salt Lake, spent the weekend at the Frank Griffin home. . Weekend visitors at the Norwood Nor-wood Hardy home were the Ralph Morrill family of Tule Lake, Calif., Mr. and Mrs. Glen Wahlquist and girls of Cedar City, Mrs. Norman Angus and son of Logan, and the Horace Morrill family of Pocatello, Idaho. Thanksgiving dinner guests at the Bill Warf home were Mr. 'and Mrs. Allen-Dohlgreen and children of Verfnal.' Principal Norwood Hardy and Mrs. Verna Hoops attended the P-TA meeting in Vernal on Monday. Mon-day. NEW BABY BOY The Gale Rasmussens are the proud parents of a baby boy, born Nov. 21 at the Roosevelt Hospital. Mrs. Wilma Robb is caring for the other children while their mother is away. The Don Simmons family and Elbert El-bert Smith family were in Vernal on business Tuesday. Paul Robb took a load of logs , , to Roosevelt on Monday then went to Vernal on business. Gravel has been put on the parking lot at the church house this week. Speakers at meeting on Sunday were Ednal Simmons, Nellie Merk- ley and Mildred Moosman. Mrs. Matilda Moosman is visiting visit-ing her daughter, Mrs. Harvey Taylor in Lapoint this week. The J. O. Hoops, Bill and Stanley Stan-ley Hoops, Leland Moosman, Ronald Ron-ald Eksund and Eldon Anderton families enjoyed their Thanksgiving Thanksgiv-ing dinner at the Loren Pike home on Thursday. The Clarence Murrays spent their Thanksgiving in Lapoint with the Jerry Harrison family and with Mrs. Elizabeth Nyberg. The Bill Hoops family visited in Tridell on Friday at the Bill Harvey Har-vey home'. Chester Smith was home from Tabiona for the Thanksgiving week end. Mr. and Mrs. George Nyberg, of Lapoint, visited the Stanley Hoops family on Friday. Mrs. Nora Christensen made a trip to Salt Lake on Friday, returning re-turning on Saturday. The William Harvey family of Tridell and the Bill Parrish family of Roosevelt were Thanksgiving dinner guests at the Elbert Smith home. The Keith Ellingford family of Salt Lake and Grant Jarman of Roosevelt spent Thanksgiving at the Gilbert Ellingford home. Mr. and Mrs. Theron Robb, of Salt Lake, visited over the weekend week-end with the Paul Robbs. The Don Simmons family went to Provo for Thanksgiving with the Edwin Simmons family. |
