Show FT. DUCHESNE WOMEN FT. DUCHESNE The regular regu-lar meeting of the Fort Duchesne Du-chesne Women's club was held at its club building Wednesday evening, Feb. 21. Mrs. Mrs. B. D. Hilderbrand, a member, and chairman for the evening's program, pro-gram, introduced and developed the subject, "Educating Our Youth Toward a Mature Generation Gene-ration Through Vocational Guidance." Guid-ance." An interesting discussion , period followed. Sin the business session, it was nnounced that the classifying 1 and cataloging of the club's library li-brary would be started the following fol-lowing week, with the assistance of Mrs. Paul Murphy, of Roosevelt, Roose-velt, who so generously has offered of-fered her services. NEOLA COMMUNITY CLUB NEOLA Mrs. Flora Wilson, Mrs. Melba Bastian and Mrs. vLena Daniels were hostesses to Community club members when hey met at the Wilson home priday evening. Time was spent '.n making suggestions and discussion dis-cussion of plans and projects for improving the homes and the community. Mrs. Lois Leavitt, Mrs. Myrtle Elmer, Mrs. Eula Von Larsen, and Mrs. Flora Wilson each won a friendship quilt. A delicious buffet supper was served by the hostesses at the close of the meeting. . RELIEF SOCIETY, SECOND WARD Members of the Relief Soci-, Soci-, ety, Roosevelt LDS ward, are urged to attend the all-day work V meeting next Tuesday, commencing commen-cing at 10 a. m., announces Mrs. Mildred Smith, president. Quilt- ing and other work projects will . if participated in and a pot-luck pot-luck luncheon will be served at noon. Next Sunday the program for the evening Sacrament service will be presented by the Relief Society. RELIEF SOCIETY. FIRESIDE CHAT A friendly atmosphere prevailed pre-vailed at the Reed Hancock residence res-idence Sunday evening, March 4. when the Roosevelt ward M-Men M-Men and Gleaner Girls enjoyed a fireside chat. Mr. Hancock entertained the group with a series of pictures dealing with Columbia records. Opening prayer was given by Mrs. Sharon Anderson, and closing clos-ing prayer by Mr. Anderson. Group singing was led by Edith Hardinger. SCOTTIE TODD CELEBRATES Little tables, decorated with tiers of glowing candles and a beautiful birthday cake, set the scene for festivities at the Thomas R. Todd residence, Mar. 5, when Scottie Todd celebrated his 5th birthday anniversary. SURPRISE PARTY Miss Dorthy Dillman was honored hon-ored at a surprise birthday party par-ty last Thursday from 6 to 8 p. m., arranged by her mother, Mrs. Harold Dillman. A pink and white color motif prevailed in the decorations and cake, which was topped with fourteen pink candles. Enjoying the delightful event were Nancy Rockwood, Carol Memmott, Maurine Ivory, Maria Pulos, Caroline Smith, Diane Nelson, Jean Roller, Margie Scurlock, Joan and Donna Swisher, Linda Perryman. FARMERS' AUXILIARY The Young Farmers' Auxiliary Auxili-ary convened last Thursday evening eve-ning at 7:30 p. m. at the Roosevelt Roos-evelt high school. Mrs. Ruth Young was the guest speaker, presenting a program on interior inter-ior decoration. NINTH BIRTHDAY Brent Hutchings celebrated his ninth birthday Saturday, Feb. 24, at his home, with an array of decorations and favors symbolized in an Easter theme, each guest being presented with a gay-colored Easter basket. The pink and white two-layer birthday birth-day cake was decorated with pink roses and topped with nine pink candles. CONTRACT CLUB I When Easter bunnies and daffodils daf-fodils start taking the spotlight in party decorations, it is an indication that spring is just around the corner, and such was the case at the Frontier Grill Saturday evening when Mr. and Mrs. Howard Harrison hosted members of Contract club. A delicious dinner, served against an array of clever Easter Eas-ter decorations featured a table centerpiece of daffodils, iris, Easter rabbits, chicks and Easter Eas-ter eggs, with little Easter baskets bas-kets completing the setting and marking places for Mrs. Ray Jordan, Mrs. J.
