Show Viola Jensen Randlett Primary Conference Held The Primary conference was held in the Avalon chapel Sunday Sun-day evening at 7:30. Mrs. Viola Jensen, in charge, gave special thanks to all members of the ward who had helped in any way. The following program was presented: Opening prayer, Elaine Chandler; "Welcome to Parents," Byron Peay; song, "The Children's Friend;" vocal solo, "The Lord's Prayer," accompanied ac-companied by Miss Delsa Dur-fee; Dur-fee; closing prayer, Melissa Anderson.- Mrs. Jean Rogers, of Leota, had charge of all singing; Miss Melva Jorgenson was the organist; or-ganist; and Mrs. Hazel Wardle was the reader. Stake visitors at the conference confer-ence were Mrs. Lillian Wilker-son, Wilker-son, of Neola, and Mrs. Anne Gardner, of Roosevelt. President James Bacon, of the Indian mission, mis-sion, was also present. Stake visitors at Primary Tuesday were Mrs. Verda Campbell Camp-bell and Mrs. Alta Hurley. The Singing Mothers met at the home of Mrs. Zelpha Wall Wednesday evening for singing nractiee. Mrs. Wall served light refreshments. Mrs. Mildred Brough was taken tak-en to the Roosevelt hospital Thursday night. Mrs. Brough has .been quite ill with measles. Mrs. Zelpha Wall received medical attention at the Roosevelt Roos-evelt hospital Thursday. She returned home Friday. Ivan Rogers entertained his wife at a surprise party on her birthday. Refreshments were served and games were enjoyed by about thirty guests. Mr. and Mrs. Duane Wall were recent visitors at the home of Mr. Wall's parents, Mr. and Mrs. Henry Wall. Mr. and Mrs. Mar.riner Mc-Mullin Mc-Mullin and Mr. and Mrs. Charles Wahlquist went to the funeral services for the baby of Mr. .and Mrs. Jay Jenkins, of Roosevelt. Roos-evelt. Thursday. . L. C. Wall, Sr. is in Salt Lake City receiving medical attention atten-tion Mrs. Mina- Murphy, of Rock Springs, Wyo., is staying -with her sister, Mrs. L. C. Wall, while Mr. Wall is away. Kay Durfee, son of Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Durfee is home on a furlough. William Chandler brought Mrs. Chandler home from Salt Lake last week, where she had undergone a major operation. J P. Stevens and E. J. Zinda, of Salt Lake City, visited Tues-, Tues-, day and Wednesday at the home of J. E. Jensen. : |
