Show Women's Clubs Of Basin Protest Eastern Action Representatives from the Federated Fed-erated Women's Clubs of the Uintah Basin attended a meeting meet-ing held at the home of Mrs. Forrest R. Stone, Fort Duchesne, Du-chesne, Tuesday afternoon, for the purpose of formulating letters let-ters to be sent to national Congressmen Con-gressmen concerning the opposition oppo-sition recently made by eastern east-ern Federated Women's Clubs to the Echo Park dam project in the Uintah Basin. Articles have appeared in various var-ious magazines, which have signified that the eastern clubs have received wrong information informa-tion and have drawn erroneous conclusions about the project, s u r rn i 8 i n g that monuments would be ruined, as well as scenery and other important structures. Present at the meeting were Mrs. Charles Henderson. Mrs. Harmon Sowards, Mrs. Beulah Richards, Mrs. Jacoby, all of Vernal; Mrs. Donald Laris, representing rep-resenting the Socialette club of Roosevelt, and Mrs. Clem Labrum La-brum and Mrs. Steve Bellon, of the Roosevelt Junior Culture club.
